Details Emerge from Court Documents in Lively-Baldoni Case
Recently unveiled court documents are shedding light on the private exchanges between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni during the filming of It Ends With Us. The specifics are quite intriguing.
According to records obtained, Baldoni, 41, visited Lively’s New York City home in December 2022 as she was expecting her son, Olin. During this visit, it seems the discussion veered into the topic of circumcision.
In an October deposition, Lively’s attorney, Michael J. Gottlieb, probed Baldoni about their conversation regarding whether Lively’s unborn child should be circumcised. He also asked, “Did you ever tell Ms. Lively whether you are circumcised?” Baldoni confirmed, “Yes.”
However, when asked if Lively directly inquired about it, he said, “Directly, no.”
Gottlieb continued to ask, “Who else was present when you mentioned that to Ms. Lively?” Baldoni described the lively scene, noting that Ryan Reynolds was part of the mix, along with multiple nannies and assistants. “I think she had two assistants. My girlfriend and I were on the couch, surrounded by people,” he recalled.
They were also questioned about sharing personal details with colleagues. Baldoni responded, “No, because I don’t talk about my genitals.”
In a revised complaint submitted in January, Lively alleged that Baldoni made her uncomfortable on set, claiming he was one of “one or two women” who felt this way, particularly noting her discomfort with him “describing his genitals.”
Lively’s defense team insists that the case should go to trial. Meanwhile, Baldoni’s lawyers filed for a summary judgment in November, requesting the judge to dismiss the case to prevent a trial set for March 2026.
On December 4, Lively’s legal team filed an objection to this motion, urging the judge to reject it and keep the case moving forward.
Baldoni’s attorney, Brian Friedman, previously expressed Baldoni’s perspective, stating, “He wants to be proven innocent, and that’s all he cares about.” He emphasized Baldoni’s intention to reveal the truth in court, saying, “He knows who he is and what he’s done or hasn’t done.”
