Justin Bieber’s Comeback at Coachella

Justin Bieber is ready to make his return at Coachella, and there’s quite a journey ahead for the former teen idol.

He’s set to headline the festival in Indio, California, on April 11th and 18th. Recently, he gave around 500 fans a sneak peek of his performance during a warm-up show at The Roxy in West Hollywood.

“This was so beautiful. It’s like a little preview of Coachella. It’s going to be a lot of fun,” he shared with the audience.

However, it’s been a gradual process to bring Bieber back into the limelight. Over the past few years, the 32-year-old has faced physical and mental health challenges, with his childhood fame taking a toll. From emotional moments on social media to noticeable weight loss and bouts of temporary facial paralysis, these struggles have even impacted his marriage to Hailey Bieber.

Last summer, he expressed frustration online, stating, “People keep telling me to fix it…If I could fix myself, don’t you think I would already have?” He acknowledged his struggles, saying, “I know I’m broken. I know I have anger issues.”

Recently, he was seen throwing a water bottle at a photographer during a date night with Hailey, which adds to his history of volatile moments.

His last tour in 2022 was cut short due to Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, leading to loss of control on one side of his face. Additionally, he had to cancel 14 dates during his 2017 tour while managing mental health challenges.

According to one music industry source, “Bieber has something to prove to himself and to the industry. Coachella will be a key moment in how he moves forward. There’s a lot of anticipation around this.”

Bieber hadn’t performed at the Grammys for four years until February when he was seen in satin boxer shorts and socks as he performed “Yukon.”

In his song “Walking Away” from his latest album, he seemed to touch on rumored issues in his marriage: “Tell me why you throw rocks at my back… You better stop before you say anything, little girl.”

The song “Daisies” also reflected his emotional struggles, questioning love with lyrics like, “Do you love me? Don’t you love me?…You said ‘forever,’ baby, did you mean it or didn’t you mean it?”

Bieber’s financial situation has been concerning, with expenses exceeding $1.3 million monthly in 2022. Additionally, reports claim he had to sell his back catalog to Hypnosis Songs Capital for $200 million in January 2023 to sort debts, including his $17 million mansion in La Quinta, California.

His former manager, Scooter Braun, had helped cover debts, but their relationship soured after Bieber allegedly failed to repay a loan as agreed.

Despite a history of close friendships within the industry, it seems that some connections have frayed. An insider suggested, “Justin hates Scooter. So does Haley.”

Last year, Bieber shared emotional posts on Instagram, igniting concern among fans. His wife, Hailey, planned to support him at Coachella. While they’ve faced ups and downs, sources indicate they’re still on solid terms.

As excitement builds for his performances, one industry insider noted, “Coachella is a big deal for him; he wouldn’t be headlining if people weren’t eager to see him.”

“He’s a talented artist, and people genuinely want to see him succeed,” the source added, reflecting on his evolution from a teen to a mature artist navigating a challenging industry.
