Justin Herbert didn't hesitate to put on his helmet as he fell to the sideline during the Chargers' 17-10 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
The Chargers' quarterback was visibly frustrated during the third quarter and was seen on X video knocking his helmet off the bench at SoFi Stadium.
A blonde-haired female staff member was seen watching his meltdown.
Sunday's loss to the Chiefs was the Chargers' second straight loss, following their loss to the Steelers in Week 3.
The Chargers were held scoreless in the second half against the Chiefs after Herbert connected with Ladd McConkie to take the lead early in the first quarter.
“We've got to give Justin a little bit more time. Some of his pitches and plays were unbelievable,” Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh said. “We'll have to see how we react from here. When we come back (from the bye week), it's going to be like starting the season all over again.”
He completed 16 of 27 for 179 yards and one touchdown.
Herbert, who was waived twice, entered the game as questionable after sustaining a high ankle sprain in the Chargers' 26-3 win over the Panthers in Week 2.
He re-aggravated the injury in Week 3 against the Steelers.
Before Sunday's loss, Herbert, 26, had been solid through three games, completing 67.2 percent of his passes for 399 yards, four touchdowns and one interception.
The Chargers have a week until October 13th when they play the Broncos in Denver.
