Justin Timberlake joined by NSYNC bandmates for first live performance in 13 years

Fans who got tickets to Justin Timberlake’s free one-night show in Los Angeles were surprised last night when the entire ’90s boy band NSYNC performed live for the first time in 13 years. Ta.

Timberlake performed the show ahead of Friday’s release of his long-awaited album Everything I Sort It Was.

What looked like a normal Timberlake show turned out to be an NSYNC reunion, with the “Suits & Tie” singer bringing out his former bandmates on stage.

Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick took to the stage to the roar of excited fans looking forward to seeing the band again. Among the enthusiastic guests in the crowd was Chrissy Teigen, who posted a clip of the band on her Instagram Story.

The last time the band performed live together was at the 2013 VMAs. They most recently collaborated on the song “Better Place” for the soundtrack of the movie Trolls: Band Together.

The 2023 film was the third installment in the Trolls series. The first of the animated films, Trolls, was released in 2016, followed by Trolls World Tour in 2020. Timberlake has voiced the character Blanche in all three of his films.

The band gave a nostalgic performance of fan favorites “Bye Bye Bye” and “It’s Gonna Be Me.” Many fans have been hoping for more collaborations from the band ever since Timberlake hinted at the possibility of more new music during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show in January.

“We were in the studio, so there might be a little something in the future,” he told Clarkson during the show.

This speculation was confirmed when the band teased their new song “Paradise” during their LA show. The song, which features Timberlake’s former bandmates, is part of his upcoming album.

NSYNC was first formed in 1995. His first album was released internationally in 1998. In the years since the release of their debut self-titled album, they have grown into one of his biggest boy bands of the 1990s and early 2000s.

Timberlake will embark on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in the spring, but it’s unclear at this time whether his former bandmates will be joining him for the show.
