Kacey Musgraves Shares UFO Sighting on Flight

Kacey Musgraves recently had what she describes as an astonishing experience during a flight.

In a series of Instagram Stories, the “Space Cowboy” singer recounted an incredible encounter she had while flying from Fort Worth, Texas, to Nashville, Tennessee. She referred to it as the “craziest orb, UFO experience.” “I’ve seen a lot of crazy things before, like fire in the sky and other unexplainable phenomena, so this isn’t exactly my first time,” she noted. “Right as I was settling in to nap, a strange light drew my attention, and I found myself staring at it for quite a while.”

Musgraves mentioned that she observed these lights for approximately 45 minutes and indicated they were around 50,000 feet high.

She described the orbs as occasionally appearing “orange-ish,” but at times they were “very bright, changing colors and sizes.” “These spheres weren’t moving like typical aircraft; rather, they wobbled back and forth in a triangular pattern,” she elaborated. “What blew my mind was that they seemed to follow us from around Little Rock all the way to Nashville. That’s when it hit me.”

The country star shared that upon landing, the pilots found the situation amusing as they exited the cockpit, telling passengers, “We see this every night. All the other pilots notice it too, but no one knows what it is.” She even mentioned that one of the pilots had spotted similar objects while flying over New York, and another had seen them in Dallas.

“It’s odd, but I’m okay with it. I embrace it,” Musgraves said about her experience as the orb seemed to follow her plane. She also mentioned sharing a video of the orb later, humorously describing it as resembling something captured in a “badass toaster,” noting how challenging it was to get a clear picture since it was nighttime and far away.

Musgraves is preparing for her upcoming studio album, “Middle of Nowhere,” set for release in early May. In a March interview with NPR, she revealed that it will feature a collaboration with Miranda Lambert. Remarkably, after years apart, she reached out to Lambert, inspired by seeing her horseback riding on Instagram. “I thought, ‘This could make for an interesting song. What if we did a duet?'” Musgraves recalled. Lambert responded positively, saying, “Yes, I’m in, let’s do it.”

The two artists have been rumored to have had a strained relationship since 2013 when Musgraves was set to release “Mama’s Broken Heart,” a song that ultimately appeared on Lambert’s album. Musgraves expressed that although she was “very excited” about her own song, it had been pitched to Lambert without her knowledge. Interestingly, this led to Musgraves writing “Merry Go Round,” further solidifying a “full circle” moment as they collaborated on a new piece.
