Kai Trump fully declines politics: 'It's such a risky thing'

Kai Trump, the 18-year-old granddaughter of former President Donald Trump, seems intent on carving her own path—far from the political arena. She is set to begin her college golf journey at the University of Miami next fall, having made her LPGA Tour debut last November.

While she has aspirations of becoming a professional golfer, she’s made it clear that political life is not in her future. “Honestly, I’m completely out of politics,” she stated during a recent podcast appearance. “I’m never running for office, and I want nothing to do with politics.” She expressed concerns over how intense the political climate has become, suggesting that if both sides could find common ground, things would be better for everyone.

Kai mentioned that social media tends to amplify extreme views, and while she claims to be fairly neutral, she acknowledged that this might irritate some people. She supports her family, including her grandfather, but emphasizes that her life won’t revolve around politics. Her closest brush with the political world was a speech at the Republican National Convention following a family tragedy.

In an interview, she noted that she respects the job her grandfather is doing, saying, “I think he’s doing great things.” It’s clear that while she has political ties through her family, her focus remains on her golfing career and staying out of the political spotlight.
