President-elect Trump's 17-year-old granddaughter shared her election night experience on Monday in a video blog, capturing her thoughts and emotions as her grandfather won the presidency.
Kai Trump, daughter of Donald Trump Jr. posted a video Monday afternoon on YouTube. The vlog (short for video blog) begins with a teenage girl getting her makeup done professionally and expressing her thoughts on the election.
“I'm here at home getting ready for election night at Mar-a-Lago and the convention center,” Kai Trump says, sitting in her makeup chair. “I'm going to straighten my hair today. I'm sure Jessica will do a great makeup job…I'm still choosing a dress.”
The teenager casually shares his plans on video, including having dinner with his grandfather hours before he was elected president.

“We're going to visit my grandpa, have dinner as a family, and spend time together,” Kai Trump says. “Then, after meeting with friends and close family who have supported me and my grandfather over the years, I think we'll head to the convention center.”
Kai Trump also talks at length about the golf competition he recently participated in and his life. He can also be seen singing songs with his friends in the car.
“I haven't seen my grandfather in a while because he was campaigning,” she said in the video. “I'm really looking forward to seeing him again. He calls me almost every other day.”
The video blog also depicts the 17-year-old's emotions changing from anxiety to optimism when the electoral votes in his grandfather's favor are announced.

Kai Trump said at the beginning of the night that he was “a little nervous.” “Actually, that's an understatement. I'm very nervous.
