Kamala Harris admits she’s ‘scared as heck’ of Trump win

Vice President Kamala Harris said Wednesday that she is “scary as hell” about the possibility of former President Donald Trump defeating President Biden and returning to the White House in November.

“We should all be scared,” Harris said on ABC's “The View.”

“As we know, and certainly, this is a table of very powerful women, but we don't run away from things when we're scared,” the beep voice continued. “We will fight back against it.”

Harris, 59, sounded more confident earlier this week in South Carolina. he told the network during an interview.: “Let me just say this: No matter who the Republican nominee is, we're winning. We're winning.”

“If it's Donald Trump, we've defeated him before and we'll defeat him again,” she added.

Since the beginning of 2024, Harris has visited the battleground states of Georgia, Nevada, and North Carolina to promote the Biden administration's message.

Some Democratic figures have expressed concerns about Biden's campaign, with former President Barack Obama's former campaign strategist David Axelrod saying Tuesday that Trump won the Iowa caucuses. After that, he said his re-election efforts needed to be “in earnest.”

Among the issues facing the 81-year-old Biden are concerns about the age of the oldest president in history.

If the oldest president in history is re-elected on November 5th and serves a full four-year term, he will be 86 years old when he leaves office.

“Let me address this issue directly: I spend a lot of time with the president, both in the Oval Office and in the Situation Room,” Harris said Wednesday. “We have a president in Joe Biden who is the most forward-thinking president we've seen in a long time.”

The vice president also acknowledged that he and Biden “must win re-election.”

“We have to win re-election and we have to tell the story of what we accomplished,” Harris said. “And that's going to be one of our big challenges. We've done a lot of good work and we need to let people know who brought it about.”

According to the paper, polls show Trump leading Biden by 1.3 percentage points in the national popular vote. Latest RealClearPolitics tally.
