Fresh off a devastating loss for the Democratic Party that cost her more than $1 billion, Vice President Kamala Harris is ready to get back on the horse. According to As reported by Politico.
The report said Harris told aides and allies to keep her options open as she considers running for president again or for governor of California.
“The logical thing to do would be to establish some kind of organization that would give her travel and speaking opportunities and maintain political connections.”
Harris led Democrats to lose the Oval Office and the Senate, and Republicans to keep the House. Democrats are blaming themselves for their own failures and attacking each other for future positions in the party.
Harris reiterated his new belief, “I'm staying in the fight,” on multiple phone calls, the report said.
Harris plans to reassert her leadership within the party and become a prominent voice for the opposition during President Trump's second term.
“She doesn't have to decide whether she wants to run for anything again in the next six months,” a former Harris aide told Politico.
“The natural thing to do would be to set up some sort of organization that would give her travel and speaking opportunities and maintain political ties,” the source added.
Brian Brokaw, a former Harris aide, told Politico that she likely hasn't made up her mind and typically takes a long time to consider her options.
“She's not one to make rash decisions,” Brokaw said. So I almost guarantee she has no idea what her next move is. ”
Some Democrats have accused President Joe Biden of staying on the campaign trail too long and not giving Harris a chance to solidify her party, but the Harris campaign has hosted lavish parties with celebrities. Some people criticize the government for spending on Finally, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (New York) called on the public to denounce Jewish political groups.
