House Armed Services Committee Chairman Jim Banks (R-Indiana) said Vice President Kamala Harris either lied for political reasons or was “ignorant” that thousands of U.S. troops are risking their lives overseas.
“I don't know what concerns me more: that Kamala Harris is willing to lie about our soldiers putting their lives at risk to score political points, or that she knows nothing about the thousands of soldiers risking their lives overseas,” Banks, a Navy veteran, said in an exclusive statement to Breitbart News shortly after the release of recent footage showing U.S. troops under fire in the Middle East.
The chilling footage showed a barrage of missiles raining down on US troops at an undisclosed military base in the Middle East, with a hoarse voice heard screaming “Oh my God! Oh my God!” [expletive] God!”
During a debate with former President Donald Trump, Harris falsely claimed that “not a single” active-duty U.S. military member would serve in a combat zone under her and President Joe Biden's administration.
