Democratic candidate’s husband Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris had an affair during her previous marriage to Kirsten Emhoff, and reports say his mistress was once the nanny for his two children.

Citing “a close friend with direct knowledge of the affair and pregnancy,” the Daily Mail reported that Naylor was pregnant with Emhoff’s child but “did not give birth to the child.”
“During my first marriage, Kirsten and I went through difficult times because of my actions. I took responsibility for it and have since worked through things as a family and bounced back stronger,” Doug Emhoff said in a statement. CNN.
Emhoff did not reveal the name of the woman he was having an affair with, but the Daily Mail reported that the woman was Najen Naylor, who previously worked as a nanny for Emhoff’s two children, Cole and Ella, and as a teacher at the Willows, the prestigious private school that their children once attended.
The affair, which is said to have taken place around 2009, reportedly ended Kirsten and Doug’s 16-year marriage.
Additionally, Naylor may have become pregnant as a result of the affair: The Daily Mail, citing “close friends with direct knowledge of the affair and pregnancy,” reported that she was pregnant with Emhoff’s child but “did not give birth to the child.”
Naylor, now 47, did not confirm or deny the affair or the pregnancy, but did issue a short statement to the Daily Mail saying she was “feeling a bit panicked at the moment.”
Kirstin Emhoff, 57, also released a statement about her previous marriage to Doug Emhoff and subsequent marriage to Kamala Harris: “Doug and I decided to end our marriage many years ago for different reasons. He has been a wonderful father to our children and continues to be a great friend to me, and I am truly proud of the warm, supportive blended family that Doug, Kamala and I have built together.”
Doug Emhoff and Harris, both 59, married in 2014. Emhoff reportedly told Harris about a past affair before they married, which was also known to the Biden campaign in 2020 when Harris was being considered as a running mate.
Harris campaign spokesman Brian Fallon declined CNN’s request for comment on the specifics of the Daily Mail’s report, and also declined to comment on the issue generally.
Doug Emhoff has been traveling around the country to campaign for his wife since Biden decided not to run for a second term and Harris emerged as a leading contender for the Democratic nomination in 2024. Harris has made expanding abortion rights a key issue on her campaign trail, and Emhoff seems keen to allow women to kill their unborn children.
