Kamala Harris is double-digit favorite to win 2028 Democratic Party nomination: poll

From flops to favorites.

A survey of Democratic voters released Friday shows former vice president Kamala Harris is the 2028 option to be prioritized with wide margins.

The failed 2024 presidential candidate received 36% support from independent Democratic and democratic voters in the early major votes of 2028. Morning consultation.

Harris, 60, has a stunning double-digit lead over his nearest potential competitor, former Transport Secretary Pete Battigigue, who has earned just 10% support from his party.

However, the unemployed former Veep has yet to announce his intention to do so in 2028.

Harris suffered an overwhelming loss to President Trump in November, losing popularity votes, election colleges and all swing states to Republicans.

Her loss came despite raising more than $1 billion from Democratic donors during her campaign.

Since her defeat, Harris reportedly told allies to keep her political options open, and she is believed to be pondering her 2026 run as California governor.
