PALM BEACH, Fla. — Republican presidential candidate and former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively that Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris is so extreme that he objects to her saying “Merry Christmas.”
“She’s openly against Christmas,” Trump said in an exclusive interview at Mar-a-Lago. “Remember me? We’re bringing back ‘Merry Christmas.’ Remember that article that said, ‘We should refuse to say ‘Merry Christmas’? We brought it back. She’s against saying ‘Merry Christmas.’ She’s against ‘Merry Christmas,’ she’s for defunding the police, she’s for open borders. That’s enough. Oh, she wants to take away guns. Those four. I don’t have to say the whole list. It doesn’t get any worse than this. But defunding the police is something she really wanted. And she defended all the people who were killing people in prisons in Minnesota.”
Trump’s comments are a reference to an incident that took place in December 2017, when Trump was president and Harris was a senator, in which Harris criticized people for saying “Merry Christmas” to illegal immigrants when they had not been pardoned for crimes of entering the U.S. illegally. A recently uncovered video of Harris from the 2017 incident shows her criticizing Trump for telling people Merry Christmas when the children of illegal immigrants had not been pardoned for citizenship.
“We’re all singing happy songs, singing Merry Christmas, wishing each other a Merry Christmas, and these kids don’t get to have a Merry Christmas,” Harris said.
“How dare you say ‘Merry Christmas’. How dare you say that. They’re not going to have a Merry Christmas,” Harris added.

But now that Harris is vice president of the United States, she and President Joe Biden have implemented a massive open border policy, allowing millions of illegal immigrants in. Trump said Harris has overseen one of the most radical immigration policies in history.
“They gave up on Remain in Mexico,” Trump told Breitbart News of Harris and Biden, “and they’ve done away with everything. They’ve done away with medical conditions if you have a disease, if you have tuberculosis, if you have a highly contagious disease. They don’t care, they’re letting them into our country.”
Trump also said efforts by Harris and her campaign staff to clean up her radical record were unlikely to succeed.
“I don’t know how anybody can get past all of this,” Trump said. “All she can say is, ‘I don’t agree with it anymore.'”
