Kamala Harris Eyes 2028 Presidential Run

Former Vice President Kamala Harris appears to be gearing up for a run in the 2028 presidential election. Despite her previous loss to President Donald Trump, she continues to hold a strong position as a frontrunner for the 2028 Democratic nomination, particularly among black American voters, according to recent polls.

Insiders from the Democratic Party have pointed to Harris’s actions during her book tour as signs of her political aspirations. Her book, titled “107 Days,” details her brief presidential campaign from last year. The tour will include notable stops in early 2026, such as South Carolina, Detroit, Jackson, Memphis, and Montgomery—regions with significant black populations.

This week, Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, participated in the Democratic National Committee’s winter meetings in Los Angeles, engaging with party leaders and state chairpersons.

In a recent speech, Harris adopted a critical stance toward both major political parties, labeling President Trump as a “symptom” of deeper issues. She expressed disappointment in how both parties have lost the public’s trust, stating, “People are tired of the status quo and are ready to break things down to force change.”

To emphasize her point, she noted that nostalgia for a flawed system hinders progress, which is something we can’t afford.

During her speech, an audience member enthusiastically yelled about “the future,” prompting a positive reaction from Harris.

Kirsten Allen, Harris’s spokesperson, emphasized that the former vice president plans to enter 2026 committed to listening to the American people’s needs and addressing leadership shortcomings during this critical time.

Looking ahead, Harris is set to make an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel” next week.
