Kamala Harris’ price-control plan is ‘full Communist’

President Donald Trump on Saturday slammed Vice President Kamala Harris’ plan to impose socialist price controls on food, saying she has gone “full-on communist.”

The Republican presidential candidate compared “Comrade Kamala’s” economic proposals to curb inflation, which she announced the previous day, including a crackdown on unfair pricing, to the notorious failed communist programs pursued in Venezuela and the former Soviet Union.

“In her speech yesterday, Kamala has gone full communist,” Trump told a packed crowd of supporters at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

“She wants to destroy our country. After creating catastrophic inflation, Comrade Kamala has announced that she wants to institute socialist price controls.”

With food prices nationwide rising by more than 20% under the Biden-Harris administration, Harris announced her economic agenda for her first 100 days in office at a rally in North Carolina on Friday.

This includes having the Federal Trade Commission enforce a federal ban on price gouging that would impose heavy fines on companies that charge exorbitant prices.

“What they’re doing is a communist takeover of our country,” Trump said of Harris’ proposal.

“Her plan may sound politically good, but it is very dangerous. It is communism, it is Marxism, it is fascism.”

It was Trump’s seventh appearance this year in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania, where recent polls have shown him and Harris deadlocked over the contested 19 electoral votes.
