Vice President Kamala Harris is set to announce her running mate on Tuesday, when the 2024 Democratic presidential candidates and their newly appointed political partners hold their first joint rally in Philadelphia.
The pair will tour seven battleground cities over four days, Politico reported. ReportsIn addition to Philadelphia, the group will also visit western Wisconsin, Detroit, Raleigh, Savannah, Phoenix and Las Vegas.
Harris and her running mate will meet with voters at larger rallies as well as smaller venues such as restaurants and union halls, and will be accompanied at each stop by local officials, the campaign said.
“This change will allow the Vice President and her running mate to speak directly to local voters and clearly differentiate our candidate from Mr. Trump’s candidate,” the campaign said.
According to multiple reports, Harris has spent the past 48 hours selecting a running mate, and the announcement comes shortly after.

Harris was officially selected as the Democratic nominee on Friday after winning enough delegates in online voting, Breitbart News reported.
Harris is the only candidate eligible to receive the ballot after the party finished its qualification process on Tuesday.
