Kamala Harris Says Point-Blank That An Intruder In Her Home Is ‘Getting Shot’

Vice President Kamala Harris said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey on Thursday night that anyone trespassing on her property would be shot with their own gun.

Harris Revealed During a debate with Republican candidate Donald Trump on September 10, Winfrey said that she and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, own guns. In an interview with United for America, Winfrey jokingly warned that she would shoot anyone who broke into her house.

“I'm a gun owner and Tim Walz is a gun owner,” Harris said. “If someone breaks into my house, they're going to be shot. I probably shouldn't have said that, but my staff will deal with that later.”

“Tim Walz and I are gun owners. We're not taking away anybody's guns, so stop lying about it,” the vice president told Trump.

The vice president has continued to support a ban on so-called assault weapons and requiring background checks for all firearm purchases. Harris also made it clear in an interview with the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) on Tuesday that she would also like to require background checks for all handgun purchases.

The vice president previously called for a mandatory firearms buyback program for “assault weapons” in 2019 while running for president in 2020, and told MSNBC's Craig Melvin in October 2019 that he could confiscate “up to 10 million guns.”
