Kamala Harris to Join ‘The View’ a Year After Unsuccessful Campaign Appearance

Kamala Harris Returning to ABC’s View

Former Vice President Kamala Harris, who has faced two unsuccessful presidential campaigns, is scheduled to make a return to ABC’s View next Tuesday, almost a year after her last appearance.

Harris joined the show during a critical time in October 2024, right before the November election, which she ultimately lost decisively.

This time, she is set to discuss her new book, “107 Days.”

Harris will appear on View on September 23rd. Chief moderator Whoopi Goldberg mentioned on Tuesday that she is excited for Harris to join the table, encouraging viewers to tune in. “She’ll be here, we’re here. I want to hear what she has to say, so I hope you’ll join us all,” Goldberg stated.

There were mixed feelings about whether Harris’ last appearance on the show had any impact on her campaign. At one point, she was asked to take a different approach than President Biden, to which she responded, “There’s nothing to think of.” She went on to assert her involvement in many of Biden’s decisions. “And I was part of most of the decisions that had an impact,” she noted, highlighting efforts like keeping insulin costs at $35 for seniors and allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices.

Harris is also set to appear on First Time Primetime shortly before her View return, further putting her front and center in discussions ahead of her latest book promotion.
