Kamala Harris’s Aides Are Unsure of Her Policy Positions

Axios reported Friday that even campaign aides aren't sure what Vice President Kamala Harris' policy platform is, raising concerns that she's a hollow political figure willing to do and say whatever it takes to get elected.

With 60 days left until the presidential election, time is running out for Americans to find out about Harris' vague plans. Harris has given just one recorded interview since entering the race seven weeks ago on July 21, 2024.

During those seven weeks, Harris Changed Her views are completely reversed or she takes an unclear position in nine areas.

  1. Prohibited Plastic straws (flip flops)
  2. a Delegation By 2035, produce only electric and hydrogen vehicles (unknown)
  3. Prohibited Hydraulic fracturing (changes in tone)
  4. Gun confiscation through a buyback program (which an anonymous campaign spokesman said he no longer supports);
  5. Decriminalization Crossing the southern border illegally (a cause he reportedly no longer supports, according to an anonymous campaign spokesman).
  6. Compensation (unknown)
  7. building The border wall (which he no longer supports, according to an anonymous campaign spokesman)
  8. Federal Job Guarantee (An anonymous campaign spokesman said he had dropped his support.)
  9. Medicare for All (Changed his attitude)

“Harris and her campaign have not offered many details explaining the policy shift,” Axios acknowledged Friday.[E]Even some of her own staff are unsure where she stands on various issues.”

According to the report, Axios asked Harris' campaign about her unknown policy positions for six consecutive days, but received a “no comment” response from her aides.

Harris's handling of the media highlights her conundrum: She cannot run on a strong platform of policies to improve crime, inflation and border security without undermining the policies of the Biden-Harris administration, but she must tout the administration's policies to justify her own record and her candidacy.

CNN's Dana Bash exposed Harris' conundrum in her first pre-taped interview.

Harris has taken credit for the Biden-Harris administration's economic achievements while at the same time blaming Republican presidential candidate, former President Donald Trump, for them, in a stark contradiction that has forced her to promote the administration's policies to justify her candidacy while simultaneously undermining her own record and candidacy.
