Vice President Kamala Harris (Democratic), who lost her presidential bid, is reportedly still asking donors for cash for a variety of reasons, as her campaign remains deeply in debt.
daily caller reported Her campaign continues to raise money even after she and her radical leftist vice presidential candidate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), lost to President-elect Donald Trump (R) and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, on Monday. (R-OH) announced Tuesday that it is sending out a message of activity.
The Caller reported that Harris' latest message was sent to supporters on Sunday, according to an email obtained by the outlet.
“Each email uses slightly different language to state that the Harris Fight Fund is offering donations to fund legal efforts and recount efforts to help Democrats in close congressional elections. The report continued.
“First and foremost, I want to acknowledge the fear, confusion, and sadness that so many of you are feeling at this time,” Harris wrote in an email after the election. “As you read this, U.S. Senate and House races are either too close to decide or within the scope of recounts and certain legal challenges. Today, please join the Harris Fight Fund Program Could you hurry up with the donation?”
By clicking on the donation link included in the email, potential donors will be sent to the Harris Victory Fund's ActBlue page. The first $41,300 of individual contributions to the Harris Victory Fund will go to the Democratic National Committee (DNC), according to the fine print on the donation page. Only the next $3,100 of donations from specific individuals will be deposited into the Harris Presidential Recount Account. The next $510,000 in contributions from individual donors will be split evenly between Democrats in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., with excess funds going to the DNC.
Breitbart News reported Wednesday that Harris' campaign saw its debt decrease by $20 million in the final week of the campaign, a source said.
“Kamala's campaign staff confirmed to Breitbart News that reports that Harris' campaign was '$20 million' in debt are 'real,'” Harris campaign chair Jen said. He added that O'Malley Dillon had reportedly 'blown through $1 billion in a few months'. '', the article said, noting that Dillon was likely the driving force behind a campaign to hold concerts with celebrities such as Katy Perry, Lizzo, Eminem and Bruce Springsteen.
On Saturday, President Trump joked that he would use his leftover campaign funds to help Democrats financially, making fun of the Democrats who spent so much money and went into debt to defeat him. He wrote in a post on Truth Social:
I am very surprised that the Democratic Party, which fought a hard and courageous fight and raised record amounts of money in the 2020 presidential election, did not have so much money left over. Now it is under pressure from vendors and others. Whatever we can do to help them during this difficult time, we urge you to do so as a party and for the sake of much-needed unity.
“Our biggest asset in this campaign is 'earned media', which doesn't cost that much, so we have a lot of money left over. Let's make America great again! ” Trump concluded.
