Vice President Kamala Harris’ record on key issues is reportedly already bothering House Democrats ahead of the 2024 general election.
After President Joe Biden abruptly dropped out of the presidential race on Sunday, Harris quickly established herself as the Democratic frontrunner, helped by a behind-the-scenes pressure campaign by senior Democratic Party officials.

Since Harris emerged as the front-runner, the National Republican Campaign Committee (NRCC) has begun targeting vulnerable House Democrats, linking her record to theirs, particularly on key issues in their states.
The NRCC has already highlighted Harris’ record on fracking in the Pennsylvania election, her record on the border in battleground states in the Southwest and her weaknesses on crime in Minnesota and Oregon.
Will Reinert, national spokesman for the NRCC, told Breitbart News in a statement Tuesday that Harris is “a battleground Democrat’s worst nightmare.”

“Kamala Harris allows Republican campaigns to speak with surgical precision to voters about how her dangerous San Francisco liberal policies will make their lives worse,” Reinert said. “Harris’ 2019 presidential primary campaign is a Republican ad maker’s dream and a battleground Democrat’s nightmare.”
CNN reports that the NRCC is focusing on Harris’ anti-fracking views in Pennsylvania’s 7th and 8th Congressional Districts, currently held by Reps. Susan Wild (D) and Matt Cartwright (D).
“There’s no question that I support a ban on fracking,” Harris said at a CNN town hall event during her unsuccessful bid for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, Breitbart News reported Monday.

According to CNN, the NRCC also plans to target vulnerable Democrats in Arizona and New Mexico over Harris’ record on the border. Rep. Tony Gonzalez (R-Texas) told CNN that the vice president should be held accountable for the Biden-Harris package just as much as Biden.
“This is the Harris-Biden combination,” Gonzalez said. “His failure is her failure.”
