Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) said on “Fox News Sunday” this week that Vice President Kamala Harris has both the “vibe and the track record” to win the November election.
“We're a few days away from early voting starting, and last I checked, there were no policy proposals on Kamalaharris.com yet,” said host Shannon Bream. “The idea is to ride on the vibe? The vibe has been good, so momentum has been good for the candidates.”
“I think it's tone and track record,” Kaine said. “I remember my first interview with Hillary Clinton, I think it was right after the convention or the day before, and it was similar in that you can't tell everything in a short interview. It was on 60 Minutes. Take fracking, for example. She took a position on it in the '19 presidential debate, and now she's part of an administration that's rapidly investing in alternative energy.”
He added, “Under the Biden-Harrison Administration, the United States is the largest LNG exporter in the world, and one of the reasons for that is fracking, and we're helping our allies, especially in Europe, not have to rely on Russia. Campaigning and governing are two different things. Vice President Harris' governance has shown that she will bring together a team and try to get something done, and that team includes the administration, Congress, governors and the private sector.”
