On Thursday, Italian boxer Angela Carini lost to Imane Kalife, an opponent who was allowed to compete in the Olympics despite failing a testosterone level test.

“I’ve never been hit with a punch like that,” said Carini. SaidHe left the ring in tears.
“I am used to suffering. I have never received such a punch. It is impossible to continue. You have no right to say it is illegal,” Kalini said. Said ASNA, Italy.
“I went into the ring to fight, but after the first minute I wasn’t motivated anymore. I started to feel a lot of pain in my nose. I didn’t give up, but the punches were hurting so much that I decided I’d had enough and left the ring with my head held high,” she said.
