Kamala Harris’s campaign is busting out a Big Bertha on Saturday to drive home votes in Michigan.
And, no, I am not talking about a Callaway Big Bertha golf driver, one of the finest devices ever engineered in sports history. I’m talking about the other Big Bertha, the big mama of music, pop singer Lizzo.
Lizzo will join Vice President Kamala Harris at an event Saturday in Detroit, Michigan, a state that is virtually a toss-up between Harris and former President Donald Trump as of mid-October. Later in the day, another famous singer, Usher, will join Harris at a rally in Atlanta, Georgia, as the campaign attempts to “boost early voting,” according to CNN’s White House correspondent, Priscilla Alvarez. Yeah, I’m sure Lizzo singing “About Damn Time” in Detroit is going to get the boys fired up and ready to march to the voting booths on Election Day. I can already picture Lizzo or Harris making a quip about how it’s “about damn time” that America sends a woman to the Oval Office.
The thing that’s fascinating about Michigan is that there are a lot of leftists who live there and loathe how the Biden-Harris administration is handling Israel’s war in Gaza. The Daily Caller just put out a banger piece on how Muslim Americans and socialists in the state are working overtime to sabotage Harris. It’s a huge story that is not getting enough attention from corporate media, but these voters could very well deliver the state for Trump by not voting for Harris. Rex Nazarko, an activist and head of the Drive 75 organization, believes that if only 75% of the roughly 200,000 Muslim Americans living in Michigan cast their vote come Election Day, Harris will lose the state and its 15 electoral college votes.

“What was a guarantee for [a Harris loss] to happen? We tried with different percentages and different turnouts, and with the 75% number, again, accounting only for the Muslim community, not other communities, not other allies, not other progressives. It essentially guaranteed a 99.9% likelihood of the vice president losing the election in Michigan, if 75% of [the community turned out],” Nazarko told the Caller. “We ran that simulation 10,000 times, and almost every time that was the case. So that’s how we got the Drive for 75 call to action and idea.”
So while Harris, along with her running mate, Tim Walz, are throwing spaghetti at the wall to mobilize black voters, they seem to be completely ignoring the Muslim American vote. Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer also doesn’t seem to be doing the Harris-Walz campaign any favors by staging a vaguely sexual video and feeding a liberal journalist a Dorito as if it were the Holy Eucharist.
Call me old school, but I don’t think the Big Bertha will drive home many Muslim votes, let alone black votes.
