Former Vice President Kamala Harris has shown a disconnect between her statements on climate change and her actions by purchasing an $8.15 million home in Malibu.
In 2023, she remarked, “Living on the coast means living on the front lines of the climate crisis.” Yet, she has continually warned about rising sea levels and melting polar ice.
It’s quite confusing, really.
Many who emphasize the climate issue seem to advocate for policies that could severely impact our lives and economy, suggesting that if drastic measures aren’t taken—like adopting socialism or altering our lifestyles—an environmental disaster is on the horizon.
Then there’s former President Obama, who professes concern over climate change but also buys coastal properties, similar to Kamala Harris. It raises questions about their commitment to the cause.
Bill Gates, worried about rising sea levels, invested in a $43 million coastal home, despite advocating for significant climate action.
And here’s a thought… CNN has been a vocal critic of climate change denial, yet it’s moved its operations to a coasting location in New York, which seems a bit contradictory.
It’s all somewhat ironic. The very figures promoting climate awareness are making major financial commitments in areas they claim are endangered.
Of note, climate “experts” have been making dire predictions, yet it feels a bit overblown.
People who truly believe in the climate emergency wouldn’t choose to live along the coast, right? And if the end is genuinely near, investing wisely would look different.
Harris has spoken about alarming trends like ocean warming and extreme weather but then turns around and buys a beachfront property, mocking those who follow her lead.
At this point, one might wonder if those on the left are either misguided, willfully ignorant, or perhaps a mix of both.
