Kamala’s $90 million jackpot: ActBlue’s biggest day or biggest lie?

Apparently, we’ve been led to believe that the whole country got excited overnight about Kamala Harris’s run for president, with small donations reportedly skyrocketing. Act BlueThe left’s leading small-donor fundraising platform reported that $27.5 million was raised in the first five hours after she announced her campaign two weeks ago.

Just a few hours later, the numbers were Nearly doubled to $46.7 millionActBlue said the fundraising was its largest day of fundraising in the entire 2024 election cycle. ActBlue reported more than $90 million. For Mrs. Yellow School Bus.

Money controls this election. They removed a sitting president from office and installed a new candidate. This is not a random conspiracy theory. The data is there.

Are we supposed to believe that the country suddenly decided to boost funding for the least popular Democratic candidate in the 2020 presidential election? Harris did so badly in the 2020 primaries that maybe 10 people voted for her. But now she’s fired up and breaking fundraising records with ActBlue. It might seem odd to say that this is a bit fishy.

ActBlue piqued my interest during the “Summer of Rage,” when my research team investigated Black Lives Matter fundraising. We found that ActBlue’s websiteDetailed rules“:

If a Campaign or Committee (a) fails to cash a check from ActBlue containing your contribution for 60 days (after ActBlue has worked with the Campaign and made multiple attempts to ensure all checks are cashed), or (b) categorically rejects a contribution designated through ActBlue, your contribution will be redesignated as a contribution to ActBlue. Similarly, contributions to social welfare organizations that are not cashed or categorically rejected will be retained by ActBlue and used generally to support social welfare efforts. Contributions to charities that are not cashed or categorically rejected will be donated to ActBlue Charities.

In other words, if the recipient doesn’t cash the check, ActBlue can do whatever it wants with the money. Doesn’t that seem a little fishy? What’s to stop a concerted effort to deny funding to a field and redirect the money to their own pet projects? If this is a story about dark money, this could be the darkest of them all.

The above text was still posted on ActBlue’s website as of the end of July. The wording was changed on August 1st.Why would they do that in the middle of Harris’ “record-breaking” fundraising campaign?

Perhaps this is because details are beginning to emerge, such as the following, according to investigative journalists: James O’KeefeMaryland resident Cindy Noh “allegedly made more than 1,000 donations to ActBlue in 2022 totaling $18,849.77,” meaning she would have had to donate to ActBlue at least three times a day, every day for a year.

Noh denied making any other donations beyond his initial one.

Even more egregious, on June 8th, the same name and address made five separate donations through ActBlue, all for the same amount.

This name was used for donations 19 times, and all donations were for $5.26 or $5.27. A weirdly specific number, isn’t it? It looks like they changed the number by a cent to avoid triggering something.

I asked Federal Election Commissioner Allen Dickerson on the radio about this case and others like it.

“My team conducted our own investigation and found that the donations to ActBlue are identical, with only a one-letter difference in the name,” he said. “Citizen journalists across the country are finding similar patterns, and similar cases are beginning to occur in more states across the country.”

What is going on? Money is controlling this election. We removed a sitting president and installed a new candidate. Money is now flying everywhere in ways that are hard to explain. This is not some random conspiracy theory. The data is there and it has attracted attention. Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and several House Republicans.

The authorities Fine ActBlue She has been accused of facilitating illegal donations at least twice. If this election is about money, FEC data shows that Harris has made more than $100,000 in donations in just a few weeks of her presidential campaign. Donald Trump’sHow is it possible to enter the race so late and still raise more money than candidates who have been fundraising all this time?

According to the FEC:Transfer from another recognized committee“All funds raised during Biden’s candidacy have already been sent to Harris.”

How is that fair? How is that legal? Harris now has the money people donated to Joe Biden. Millions of Democrats voted for Biden in the primaries. Then there was a coup and the money from that coup went to Harris. These are people who call themselves “defenders of democracy.” They’re not at all.
