Kamala’s Record as ‘San Francisco Radical’ Threatens Down-Ballot Democrats

Kamala Harris wants to abolish ICE, defund the police and destroy the American economy, she claims in a shocking ad that compiles some of the Democratic candidate’s most damning policy statements.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee ad sends a clear signal that Republicans are trying to hang Harris’ radical record on Democrats’ necks in lower-district districts across the country, and shows just how damaging that record could be.

The NRSC ads feature footage of Harris’ own words (traditionally often in interviews with friendly establishment media) accompanied by her trademark detached laughter.

The ad’s litany of reprehensible positions that Harris has admitted to across policy lines may explain why she has not answered a single reporter’s question in the 17 days since succeeding President Joe Biden (her boss) at the top of the shortlist and has declined all interview requests.

The ad opens with a masked Harris beginning the meeting by identifying herself with the pronouns “she/her.”

Things aren’t getting any better for presidential candidates.

Perhaps most memorable was Harris’ bizarre evasion when asked why she hadn’t been to the southern border despite being offered the border patrol post by President Joe Biden.

“We’re going to the border. I’ve been to the border,” Harris told Lester Holt. Holt asked the vice president why he hadn’t been to the border, and when pressed further on why he hadn’t personally been there, a perplexed Harris replied, “And I’ve never been to Europe.”

The ad also features Harris saying plastic straws should be banned.

Other Harris moments highlighted in the ad include:

  • When asked about the nonpartisan GovTrack rating her as the most liberal senator, she faltered.
  • He promised that “illegal immigrants crossing the border will not be treated as criminals.”
  • When asked about abolishing ICE, he argued that “we probably need to think about starting from scratch.”
  • He strongly pledged to introduce universal health care for illegal immigrants, saying, “I oppose policies that deny public health to everyone in our country.”

Harris’ rise to the top could further endanger other vulnerable Republican incumbents such as Sens. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and Jon Tester (D-Mont.) as well as Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pennsylvania).

Brown and Tester will face Republicans Bernie Moreno and Tim Sheehy, respectively, in November, while Casey will face Republican Dave McCormick.

Senate district maps favor Republicans, and Republicans have expanded their Senate battlegrounds amid missteps by Biden (now Harris) and former President Donald Trump’s better-than-expected performance in Democratic stronghold states.
