Kanye West leaves Piers Morgan interview after discussing follower count on X.

Kanye West had a tense moment during an interview with Piers Morgan on May 6th, which ended abruptly when he ripped out his earpiece and stormed off.

Following the heated exchange, Morgan took to social media to share insights about the brief interview, where he noted how it unfolded considering their recent discussions. He posted a screenshot of their encounter.

In a later update, Morgan described Kanye’s reaction just before leaving, raising questions about some of the controversial comments the rapper has made. He, unfortunately, referred to West as a “big baby,” noting the intensity of their interaction.

A few hours post-interview, Morgan revealed footage that highlighted their exchange. He attempted to address the significant influence West wields with his 32 million followers on social media.

Throughout the interview, West reacted strongly, particularly when Morgan pressed him on his actions and views related to his followers. At that moment, West had about 33.3 million followers on the platform.

“You’re too close for comfort, man,” West remarked while grappling with the discussion. He went on to elevate his status by mentioning icons like Michael Jackson and John Lennon.

As tensions rose, Morgan struggled to steer the conversation back on track. West wrapped up the interview with the notion that accountability was lacking, stating, “This is what we have for now. It can be counted, but nothing more.”

In a dramatic exit, he removed his earpiece and stalked off, leaving Morgan and the crew in an awkward spot.

The interaction also saw an assistant showing frustration with Morgan’s probing questions, which included a rather blunt remark calling West a “sniveling little coward.”

West was in Mallorca for the virtual interview, and despite the clash, Morgan defended having him on the show, emphasizing the importance of confronting controversial figures.

Previously, Morgan had interviewed West in 2022, where similar issues were addressed concerning West’s anti-Semitic remarks. Morgan expressed his desire to hold West accountable for his public statements.

He stated that he wanted to question West about his actions and the impact on social media, addressing the platform’s double standards regarding user behavior.

The exchange wasn’t the first incident between the two; they previously had a heated discussion in 2022 over West’s controversial statements regarding the Jewish community.
