The full roster of ju umpire and alternatives was selected in the second murder trial of former financial adviser Karen Reed, who was accused of killing Boston boyfriend John O’Keefe in a drunken hit-and-run after the January 2022 blizzard.
All 12 ju umpires and six alternatives were enpaneled on Tuesday to clear the path to the start of the statement. After 16 out of 16 selected on Friday were selected, two more ju apprentices were needed.

O’Keefe was 46 years old at the time of his death. Reed was one of the groups of people who found him on another officer’s front lawn at about 6am on January 29, 2022.
A group of people were drinking at Brian Albert’s house after resigning from the Boston Police Department the night before.

Witnesses testified that O’Keefe never made it in the house, but what he read vehemently denied allegations that she had killed him.
She pleads not guilty and claims he may have been killed inside, then moves into the yard, where he dies of head and hypothermia trauma.
