Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kali Lake won the Senate primary on Tuesday, defeating Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb (R).

After his victory was declared, Lake called on everyone who did not vote for him in the primary to support him in the upcoming election against Gallego, who he warned was “a far-right Democrat from Chicago who was elected to move to Arizona and try to turn this great state into a socialist state.”

In another closely watched state race, Abe Hamadeh (R) held a large lead over Blake Masters (R) in the U.S. House of Representatives race in Arizona’s 8th Congressional District as of Monday morning. NBC News reported that with 92% of the votes counted, Hamadeh was holding 29.8% and Masters 25.3%.
Hamadeh and Masters were endorsed by President Trump before the election.
