Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake's campaign office was placed on lockdown after a campaign staffer opened a package containing a “suspicious” substance.

On Tuesday, a spokesperson for her campaign said: fox news digital When the intern opened the envelope, he found a suspicious substance and a note that read “Beware of Anthrax.”

A mysterious substance discovered at the Phoenix office is currently under investigation.

“The radical left, with the cooperation of the mainstream media, has escalated their attacks against me, from baseless slander and legal harassment to physical threats. Today, there may be anthrax in my office. “I received a suspicious envelope that was an attempt to blackmail me into silence,” Lake said. “This is not just about me. It's an attack on our movement. I will not be intimidated, and those responsible must be brought to justice. It's time to take action against these dangerous and un-American tactics. It's time to unite against it.”
