White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has sparred with Fox News' Peter Doocy over polls showing Americans believe President Biden's mental strength is declining.
At a press conference, Doocy asked Jean-Pierre about how more people are expressing concern about Biden's mental health ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
“Karine, why do you think polls show that more and more people feel that President Biden is becoming less and less mentally strong as time goes on?” Doocy asked.
“What poll is this?” Jean-Pierre replied.

“Since May, ABC has lowered President Biden's health rating by five points and his mental acuity rating by four points,” Doocy revealed.
She responded, “You know, I have to say that's a little confusing to me, because if you look at what this president has done over the last three years, you've seen historic legislation. Right? When it comes to bipartisan infrastructure deals, a lot of presidents have said before, just like your favorite presidents–”
“Who is my favorite president?” the fool interjected.
Jean Pierre said: “Why not … why not let the American people guess?”
They went back and forth for a few seconds, then he pressed her to further explain what she had said.
“I don't know what you mean,” Doocy said.
