Karoline Leavitt Joins Fox News as Contributor

Former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is set to join Fox News Channel as an on-air contributor, as announced by FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott on Monday. Leavitt, 29, will start her new role on November 1, offering insights across the Fox News lineup.

Having served as the 36th White House press secretary during President Donald Trump’s second term from January 2025 to August 2026, her experience is seen as a valuable addition. Scott praised her firsthand experience, stating that it gives her a unique perspective on the current political landscape and that they look forward to her authentic insights for their audience.

In her statement, Leavitt expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be part of Fox News and her eagerness to share her insights from her time as press secretary with viewers across multiple platforms. She emphasized her commitment to maintaining the same energy and candor that characterized her tenure in the White House.

Before her role as press secretary, Leavitt was a spokesperson for MAGA Inc. and later joined Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, emerging as the youngest press secretary in history. Her time in that role was marked by her strong defense of the president’s agenda while regularly addressing both domestic and foreign policy matters in front of the press.

Leavitt’s departure from the White House came after she shared on X that the decision was bittersweet. She acknowledged the difficulty of balancing the demands of her job with her responsibilities as a mother to her two young children.

Prior to her White House role, Leavitt held positions as a presidential writer and assistant press secretary during Trump’s first term and even ran for Congress as a Republican candidate in New Hampshire’s 1st District in 2022. She also served as communications director for Rep. Elise Stefanik, the former House Republican Conference Chair.

Leavitt, who earned a degree in politics and communication from Saint Anselm College in 2019, has past experience with Fox News as an intern during the 2016 presidential election. She currently lives in New Hampshire with her husband, Nick, and their two young children.
