Karoline Leavitt denies ‘war plans’ were discussed on text thread that included editor of the Atlantic

White House spokesman Caroline Leavitt responded to the claims of Jeffrey Goldberg, a liberal editor who happened to be included in group texts between Trump administration officials.

Leavitt It was contested One of the more harmful claims by Goldberg, editor of the Atlantic Prime Minister, is from a thread that includes Secretary of Defense Pete Hegses, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Vice President J.D. Vance.

'Jeffrey Goldberg is famous for his sensational spin. This is the truth. ”

Goldberg said it was incorrectly included in the thread, claiming it had obtained a “war plan” for the Yemeni military operation against the Houtis. He did not publish any suspicious plans and led many to accuse him of exaggerating what he received.

Leavitt specifically denied the claim in a statement made on social media on Tuesday.

“Jeffrey Goldberg is famous for his sensational spin. Here are the facts about his latest story,” Leavitt said.

She said the war plans were not discussed and no material classified as threads were sent. She tackled criticism that it was inappropriate and illegal to carry out official government projects on signalling apps because of the record keeping laws.

“The White House Advisors Office provides guidance on many different platforms to ensure that President Trump's top officials communicate as safely and efficiently as possible,” she wrote.

“Thanks to the strong and decisive leadership of President Trump and everyone in the group, Houthi's strike was successful and effective,” Leavitt concluded. “Terrorists are killed, and that's what's most important to President Trump.”

National Security Council spokesman Brian Hughes confirmed with the Atlantic that the message chain appears to be authentic, adding that he “is reviewing how an astounding number has been added to the chain.”

Some speculate that the blunder could lead to the expulsion of Mike Waltz, who is believed to have accidentally included Goldberg in the thread. A White House official told Politico that the administration is turning its wagon to protect the waltz.

“Trump was certainly not happy with this,” reportedly, “every story you see about the waltz not lasting is just a bit premature. Washington is giving a frenzy.
