Trump’s MRI Results Released
On Monday, White House press secretary Caroline Levitt shared that President Donald Trump underwent an MRI to check for any cardiovascular or abdominal health issues.
Trump mentioned on Sunday that he would release the MRI results following a surgery he had at Walter Reed Military Medical Center in October. Levitt explained in a news conference that this was part of a broader health assessment and indicated that he is, overall, in very good health.
Levitt emphasized that, “A thorough evaluation of cardiovascular and abdominal health is beneficial.” She noted that the purpose of the imaging test was preventative, aimed at identifying potential problems early and ensuring the president maintains long-term health and functionality. The cardiovascular imaging was reported as completely normal, showing no signs of artery narrowing or other heart-related issues.
Additionally, the imaging tests showed no inflammation or clotting, and the results for abdominal imaging were also reported as normal. Levitt pointed out that such comprehensive assessments are standard for executive medical evaluations.
In conclusion, she reiterated that detailed evaluations are typical for someone of Trump’s age and confirmed that he is in good overall health. She mentioned a commitment to transparency, indicating the results were delivered in a timely manner.
While the White House had earlier stated Trump was in “excellent overall health,” they did not immediately disclose his MRI scan. Trump later commented that he wasn’t sure which part of his body was examined but promised to share the results.
He humorously remarked, “It was just an MRI, what part of your body? I took a cognitive test and passed, so it wasn’t your brain.” This lightheartedness adds a personal touch to the otherwise serious discussion about his health.
