Karoline Leavitt Joins Fox News as Contributor

Karoline Leavitt, who previously served as President Trump’s press secretary, resigned in late August and accordingly returned to the Trump-associated super PAC, MAGA Inc. Within weeks, she spoke at the Republican Midterm Convention in early September. Now, she seems poised to embark on a new phase in her career.

On Monday, Fox News revealed that Leavitt will become a network contributor starting November 1. Reports state that she will offer her insights across various Fox News programs.

I’m excited about this move. Leavitt expressed her anticipation, stating that she looks forward to sharing her unique perspective from her time as press secretary while bringing the same energy and openness that characterized her work in the White House to Fox’s audience.

Although Leavitt interned at local news outlets during her studies at New Hampshire’s Saint Anselm College, this marks her first official role with a major news organization.

She started her professional journey soon after graduating, initially as a deputy press secretary during Trump’s first term. After that, she ran for Congress, worked for his super PAC, became part of his 2024 campaign, and ultimately returned to the White House in her press secretary role.

Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott commented on Leavitt’s hiring, saying her direct experience in the White House and on the campaign trail brings valuable understanding to today’s political environment. The network looks forward to her authentic insights across its various platforms.

Leavitt expressed gratitude for this opportunity to be a formal member of Fox News Media’s team. She reiterated her eagerness to share her insights based on her unique experiences in the White House.

Interestingly, President Trump has not publicly reacted to Leavitt’s new role on social media yet. Meanwhile, some critics from liberal media outlets quickly turned the spotlight to Trump’s current connection with Fox.

CNN’s Brian Stelter described Leavitt’s appointment as “the least surprising headline of the day” and used the occasion to criticize Trump for his observation that Fox is not covering his full rallies anymore.

Leavitt will join another former Trump press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, at Fox News.
