FBI’s Global Hunt for Terrorist Suspects

FBI Director Kash Patel stated on Monday that the agency is actively pursuing terrorist suspects worldwide, following the capture of two significant individuals—a terrorist linked to Iran and an executive from Tren de Aragua (TdA).

During an appearance on “Hannity,” Patel discussed the challenges of foreign extradition, emphasizing that the FBI is prioritizing national security by tracking down these individuals globally. It’s a complex situation, and he noted the importance of unraveling their ties to terrorism, which has become the FBI’s main focus.

High-Profile Extraditions

Among the extradited individuals is Jose Enrique Martínez Flores from Colombia, also known as “Chuki,” who is affiliated with TdA. He represents the highest-ranking TdA member to be tried in the United States. He faces charges for conspiracy and providing material support to TdA.

The agency is also dealing with Iraqi terror suspect Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood al-Saadi, who has been sent to New York to confront federal terrorism charges. Authorities allege that al-Saadi and his team planned nearly 20 attacks in Europe, representing a serious threat.

Allegations of Coordination

Patel described Flores as the most senior member of TdA, and expressed that the FBI aims to counteract President Biden’s open borders policy. Meanwhile, al-Saadi is reported to have orchestrated attacks on various targets, including Jewish institutions in Europe and rebel groups in the U.S., Israel, and Iran.

Referring to al-Saadi’s indictment, Patel claimed he was involved in a widespread campaign of targeted attacks in Europe and even planned acts of terror in states like New York, California, and Arizona, under instructions from the Iranian group Kataib Hezbollah. He emphasized the importance of apprehending those who entered the country during the previous administration’s policies and ensuring the safety of Americans.

Patel concluded by stating that the FBI will continue to seek out every illegal immigrant causing harm to the nation.
