Kash Patel urged to crush gangs locals say running AOC’s ‘Red Light’ district

As a private jet nationwide for her “Battle Oligarchy” tour, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y., residents of her Queen’s constituency are calling for the FBI, and they have turned into “gangland” where illegal sex workers and their drug dealers have turned into neighborhoods.”

Last week, local leaders, including a former Democratic state senator, urged FBI director Kash Patel to unleash their agents to quell the intense issues along Roosevelt Avenue.

They also argued that the ruthless 18th Avenue gang had taken over illegal operations, filling the gaps in other gangs like Tren DeLagua after hundreds of people were arrested in a massive police operation.

Starting in October, police crackdowns labelled “Operation Roosevelt” have seen hundreds of city and state troopers descend into their neighborhoods. The NYPD told Fox News Digital that Clampdown has resulted in a 37% reduction in crime with more than 1,800 arrests and more than 15,000 subpoena in the Roosevelt Avenue Zone.

Residents and local activists sped praise on New York Mayor Eric Adams after spearheading an offensive 90-day police blitz.

However, locals say that the blitz was short-lived and the bar has been turned into a makeshift brothel. There, you can easily negotiate a dance for sex in a dimly lit room downstairs. Many of the sex workers are immigrants, the leader said.

“The NYPD operation led to Roosevelt’s arrest, but our street sources say the gang replaced their foot soldiers within days,” said supporters, including former Democratic state Sen. Hiram Montserate.

“The money remains motionless, the dance floor remains open, and the prostitutes are back forever. This isn’t just a matter of the queen, but a blueprint on how gangs, cartels and traffickers can see and take over the community.”

They said the gang used Roosevelt Avenue as its marketplace to turn two miles of shady strips into “oiled crime machines.” “Roosevelt Avenue is not just about having gang issues. It’s become a gangland.”

The NYPD did not confirm local people’s claims about gangs operating in the area.

The AOC’s “Red Light District” is plagued by crime as a Democrat who helped her rise in power.

Monserrate and two groups (neighbors of Roosevelt Ave. and American Triangle) called on Patel to investigate the “continuous situation” they are facing.

They write that gangsters tagged gang insignias around the area where 18th Street gangs were marking their territory.

Monserrate said the gangs are involved in all sorts of serious crimes, including human trafficking, illegal gun sales, identity theft, fake green cards distribution, and violent crimes. His sources have identified at least 20 brothels in the area, some of which operate near schools.

Protested against Montserrate, the centre and nearby brothels.

He said crime generally still plagued the area. The man was fatally stabbed earlier this week when a violent burglar tried to stop stealing bicycle stairs from a local metro station.

Monserrate shared the video with Fox News Digital and saying it was suspected of 23 sex workers in one block.

In September, Fox News’ digital cameras recorded a line of more than 19 sex workers on one block along Roosevelt Avenue, with at least seven on the next block. One woman was spotted seeking sex for $60.

Cortez has not yet responded to multiple Fox News digital requests for comments on the situation along Roosevelt Avenue. She is scheduled to hold a town hall nearby on Saturday.

Rep. Grace Meng, Dn.Y., including the district, told Fox News Digital that he was closely involved in the NYPD’s ongoing efforts to improve public safety and quality of life in the area.

“I am confident in the NYPD’s commitment and ability to address these challenges and I admire their continued presence and work in the community,” Meng said.

“As a leading Democrat on the Budget Committee, which is responsible for funding law enforcement agencies such as the NYPD and the FBI, I will continue to advocate for the resources they need to protect Queens residents.”
