Kate Hudson Celebrates Family at Pioneer Dinner

Kate Hudson is basking in good vibes lately. On Wednesday, the 46-year-old star of “Running Points” attended the Will Rogers Pioneer Dinner at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, reuniting with her mother, Goldie Hawn, and stepfather, Kurt Russell.

Hudson, honored as Pioneer of the Year, appeared radiant in a baby blue floral dress, while Hawn and Russell opted for black outfits.

Last year, Hudson reflected on the deep connection between her mom and Russell, mentioning their unwavering support throughout her life. In an interview on SiriusXM’s “Howard Stern Show,” she shared, “They’ve been together for over 40 years. They are the heart of our family.”

She also noted, “I gaze at my grandkids, and I just think my parents are fantastic. They’ve put in a lot of effort.” It’s interesting how, from the outside, their family seems unified, yet Hudson candidly remarked that they are, in fact, quite chaotic. “We’re all different, but the joy in life is what bonds us,” she explained.

Hawn and Russell first crossed paths in 1968 during the filming of “The One and Only True Original Family Band,” yet it wasn’t until 1983 that they began dating. They’ve never tied the knot, but they share a son, Wyatt. Hudson and her brother Oliver are from Hawn’s previous marriage to Bill Hudson, and Russell also has a son, Boston, from his prior union with Season Hubley.

On the dynamic of their relationships, Hudson described their connection as “really cute,” emphasizing how Russell truly cherishes her mother. “It’s heartwarming to see,” she said with a smile.

Just hours before the dinner, Hudson took to Instagram to share a playful side of herself, posting a selfie in a lavender sports bra and sweatpants, jokingly likening herself to Kylie Jenner. “Basically the same,” she quipped, alongside a cheeky photo of Jenner.
