She’s back!
Kate Middleton delighted royal fans by attending the 2024 Trooping the Colour ceremony in London on Saturday as a working member of the royal family, making her first public appearance this year since her cancer recovery.
The Princess of Wales, 42, who announced in March that she was undergoing chemotherapy for an unspecified type of cancer, rode in a carriage with her children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, for King Charles III’s annual birthday parade, wearing a long-sleeved white coat dress trimmed with black ribbon.
The princess almost always wears an Alexander McQueen coatdress to the annual event., And this year she chose another beloved designer: Jenny Packham.
moving Instagram Posts On Friday, she made her appearance at Trooping the Colour, which she has attended every year since her marriage, with her hair pulled back. Accessories included a black and white Philip Treacy hat, Jimmy Choo pumps, and her favorite Cassandra Gord pearl earrings ($6,061).
She also wore a black Mulberry clutch ($750) and what appears to be a brooch symbolizing the insignia of the Irish Guards, of which she is an honorary colonel.
As for the royal kids, Prince George and Prince Louis looked dapper in double-breasted suits and blue ties, while Princess Charlotte matched her mother in a navy sailor-style dress trimmed with white ribbon, with a white bow in her hair and white Mary Jane flats.
Like Middleton, Camilla coordinated her look with an oversized white hat and pale mint green coat dress.
Fans spotted the Prince and Princess of Wales shopping at a produce store in Windsor on March 16th. Saturday’s parade will mark the mother of three’s first official participation in the event since Christmas 2023.
“I am looking forward to joining my family in the King’s Birthday Parade this weekend and hope to take part in several public events over the summer, but at the same time I know the crisis is not over yet,” Prince Charles wrote on Instagram on Friday.
“I am recovering well, but as anyone undergoing chemotherapy knows,
“There have been good days and bad days,” she added in the emotional caption.
