Milwaukee — Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance will “dominantly outdo” Vice President Kamala Harris in the debate, Sen. Katie Britt of Alabama told Fox News Digital in an interview at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
Britt, a rising Republican star who delivered the GOP’s official rebuttal to President Biden’s State of the Union address earlier this year, praised Vance ahead of his highly anticipated speech at the party’s convention on Wednesday night and predicted Americans will “fall in love” with him the moment they get to know him.
“I’m excited to see the debate with Kamala Harris because it’s not going to be a contest. With all due respect to the vice president, I think the next vice president of the United States, J.D. Vance, will blow Harris away, no question about it,” Britt said.

“I am honored to not only call J.D. a colleague, but a friend. The best part is that we got to know each other as people. Once the American people get to know J.D. Vance, they’ll love everything about him.”
Britt later said Vance’s life story of pulling himself up by his bootstraps and overcoming “unimaginable” circumstances is part of why he is “uniquely qualified to advance President Trump’s agenda of secure borders, safe cities, stable prices, and true strength around the world.”
She described the emotion of seeing Trump enter the convention hall on Monday and stand next to Vance for the first time since last weekend’s assassination attempt as “electric.”

“It was amazing. You could feel the energy,” Britt said. “Watching him come out to ‘God Bless America,’ I felt a sense of peace and hope and resilience, and not just from him, but I think that radiated throughout the arena.”
After Trump selected Vance as his running mate, Harris called him to congratulate him and said she looked forward to meeting him at a vice presidential debate that CBS News is proposing to host at a later date.
