Katy Perry’s Emotional Concert Performance

Katy Perry put on a heartfelt show during her concert in Inglewood, California, trying to keep her composure while singing a farewell ballad. It seems that these Grammy nominations for the 40-year-old singer usually let fans choose a song for her to perform. This time, she asked those who voted on the Kia forum to sing “I Don’t Like Movies.”

She addressed her audience, questioning, “Are you really going to make me sing this song at this time in my life?” This reference was to her recent breakup with ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom. Perry humorously remarked, “Alright, we’ll do it! Because you voted for it… I’ll try not to cry. Don’t worry, I won’t cry.”

The song’s backstory dates to her “first divorce” from ex-husband Russell Brand, which she revealed to her fans. As she prepared to perform, it was clear that the moment weighed heavily on her.

Perry had officially ended her marriage to Brand shortly after 2011, just a year after they tied the knot. While talking, she mentioned that despite the emotional weight of the lyrics, she would give it a go to stay calm.

Earlier this month, Perry’s relationship with Bloom ended while she was on her ongoing tour. They’ve faced ups and downs since they began dating in 2016 and share a four-year-old daughter named Daisy.

The couple’s statement confirmed that their primary focus remains on co-parenting. A few weeks ago, they were spotted together in Italy, emphasizing their amicable relationship for the sake of their child.

Their joint statement highlighted their commitment to raising Daisy with love, stability, and mutual respect. Recently, Bloom shared a warm family photo on his Instagram, reinforcing their friendly co-parenting dynamics.
