‘Keep Marching For Hamas, Kids’: Bill Maher Slams College Protests Supporting Hamas, Claims Misdirected Activism

Bill Maher condemned anti-Israel protests on campus on Tuesday’s episode of his podcast “Club Random.”

During his “Club Random” podcast Along with UFC president Dana White, Maher, a comedian and HBO host, criticized the intensity of anti-Israel protests on campuses such as Columbia University. Maher slammed the protesters for having their priorities wrong and pointed to the complexities and moral challenges of the Middle East. He highlighted Afghan cultural practices as an example and expressed dissatisfaction with protesters’ support for Hamas.

“Afghanistan’s culture, some of it was discovered when we invaded and stayed there for 20 years,” he said. “There are rich men who have boys as young as 10 years old. That’s just something that rich people can afford. So keep marching for Hamas, kids. Here you are. really puts a liberal eye on the right prize.”

Maher also noted that protesters cheered for Iran during the conflict involving Israel. (Related: ‘Get out of my face’: College protester walks away from Fox host in ‘hostage’ situation)

“Now they’re rooting for Iran, because they fired all their missiles at Israel. So is Iran good? You mean the black-hearted, black-eyed, bomb-planting bastard?” Mr. Maher continued.

Maher concluded his comments by noting that such protests could be counterproductive for Democrats, especially in the upcoming 2024 presidential election, as they could alienate moderate voters.

“I keep trying to get this across to the left every week. Like, the crazier you do, the more you drive centrist people to the right,” Maher explained.
