Former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms launched her campaign for Georgia’s governorship on Tuesday, taking a strong stance against President Donald Trump in a newly released campaign video.

In her remarks, she described Trump as a “disaster for our economy and our country,” pointing to his failure to address rising prices and the influence of wealthy individuals on Medicare and Social Security. She emphasized that “the Georgia family deserves far better than what Donald Trump and the Republicans are offering.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene Won’t Run for Senate

Bottoms’ Priorities as Governor

In the campaign video, Bottoms outlined her commitment to expanding Medicaid and removing state income taxes for teachers as top priorities if elected. She also has a history of working with President Joe Biden, serving as a senior advisor during her time in the White House.

Recently, she was named as part of the President’s Export Council.
