Progressive commentator Keith Olbermann expressed his dissatisfaction with the New York Times’ alleged bias against President Biden by canceling his subscription to the leading liberal newspaper.
On Friday night, Mr. Olbermann shared with Mr.

The image revealed that Mr. Olbermann chose the former of two options: “I have concerns about the New York Times reporting” and “I want to cancel for other reasons.”
Later, in a prompt asking users for “feedback” on why the website was terminating their subscriptions, Olbermann criticized Times publisher AG Sulzberger’s alleged behavior toward Biden.
“AG Sulzberger’s grudge against Biden is intolerable and puts our democracy at risk,” Olbermann wrote at the scene.
“Goodbye @nytimes. I’ve been a subscriber since 1969. I won’t subscribe again until Sulzberger is gone,” Olbermann wrote in a caption accompanying the image.
In a video posted to his account on Saturday, Mr. Olbermann hinted at exactly why he was dissatisfied with Mr. Sulzberger. Namely, a recent Politico article detailing tensions between the New York Times and the White House over news outlets and pointing fingers at Sulzberger in particular.
Olbermann’s clip references a Politico article made by an unnamed Times reporter, who allegedly said, “The AG is mad; he’s the one who’s mad.” [that] Biden has not given any interviews and has quietly encouraged any harsh reporting about his age. ”
Sulzberger also reportedly clashed with Vice President Kamala Harris over Biden’s decision to avoid interviews with major newspapers, according to Politico.
Following the Politico article, the Times issued a statement criticizing Biden for granting “far fewer press conferences and sit-down interviews with independent journalists than virtually all of his predecessors.”
“It’s true that the Times has asked for an on-the-record interview with Mr. Biden, as we’ve done with every president over 100 years. If the president doesn’t like our policies… If he chooses not to give an interview with the Times, “independent reporting is his right, and we will continue to cover him fully and fairly in any case.”

Biden’s false cannibalism story explained by media as simple ‘false’, ‘ignoring details’

Olbermann indicated he is not a fan of liberal critics of President Biden. In February, after “The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart mocked the Biden administration for avoiding a Super Bowl interview and instead choosing to post on TikTok, the former MSNBC anchor slammed the comedian.
He posted on X: “After 9 years, I have nothing to say to Jon Stewart, the two-sided con man who bashes Biden. Just give him another 9 years.”
And when CNN anchor Abby Phillippe said in January that “nobody” wanted former President Trump or Biden to become president again, Olbermann attacked her personally. “CNN must deal with the following realities,” he wrote. [Phillip] is an utter disaster, and this pretentious editorial is the first thing that has gotten her attention since her debut on the show. ”
Philip fired back at Olbermann in X, saying, “Or you can accept the reality that you’re irrelevant and stop being a nasty social media troll. But that’s entirely up to you.”
