The St. Louis Cardinals have denied that their players took part in a home run celebration inspired by President Trump on Sunday, but it would be hard to say that to Keith Olbermann.
On Sunday, Alec Burleson hit a home run in the third inning of the Cardinals-Braves game. As he rounded the bases, Burleson and several teammates in the dugout put their hands over their ears. They pumped their fists in an apparent nod to President Trump’s response after the July 13 assassination attempt.

A Cardinals spokesman said the celebration was inspired by Burleson’s work as a DJ in college and wasn’t a tribute to Trump, but Olbermann disagrees.
“On Monday, Olbermann called the Cardinals ‘Nazis’ and ordered MLB to take over the team.

On Sunday, there was an even more overtly Trump-inspired celebration after Tampa’s Taylor Walls hit a double against the Yankees.
