Keith Urban Performs at Private Event with Trump
Keith Urban recently entertained guests at a private gathering that included President Donald Trump. Held at Mar-a-Lago on Saturday, the event was organized for Australian billionaire Anthony Pratt, with Trump seen sitting alongside Pratt.
Reportedly, Pratt has made substantial contributions to Trump’s 2024 campaign, including a $10 million donation and a pledge of $5 billion aimed at enhancing U.S. manufacturing.
During the event, Urban performed several songs, including “Pink Pony Club” and Bob Marley’s “Is This Love,” as shared in a social media video by Florida real estate agent Tali Israel.
Audience reactions to Urban’s performance were mixed. One enthusiastic fan exclaimed, “Awesome!! A great night with a legend and the greatest president of all time!” while another expressed their admiration for Urban, saying, “I don’t know if I can love @keithurban anymore but I already do.”
On the other hand, some viewers criticized Urban’s performance. One commenter urged a boycott, stating, “Boycott Keith Urban everywhere!” while another declared, “Well Keith Urban is no longer on my playlist. What an epic failure and disappointment.”
People familiar with Urban’s work noted that his choice to perform “Pink Pony Club” isn’t unexpected; he has sung this song frequently on tour. Urban himself mentioned in a previous interview how the song resonates with him, saying, “Who doesn’t want to find a safe place, wherever it is? You just want to find your people, whatever it is, just a place where you finally realize you belong there.”
As of now, neither Urban nor representatives from the White House have provided any comments regarding the performance.
