Super Bowl-winning football brothers Jason and Travis Kelce have signed a new streaming deal with Amazon's premium podcast network that exceeds either brother's previous earnings from football.
The weekly podcast, “New Heights,” which has 2.4 million subscribers on YouTube, will be distributed exclusively on Amazon's Wondery platform, with the company also handling ad sales.
The three-year, $100 million deal marks another milestone for the duo, who have enjoyed success on and off the field.
“We love this show and we love the fanbase that has grown with us over the past two seasons.”
While Travis has made millions from endorsement deals, his partnerships with Bud Light and Pfizer have made him a target for right-wing NFL fans. Even NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers called Travis “Mr. Pfizer” after his vaccine ad aired.
Meanwhile, Kelce has been accused of bias by liberals who were not pleased with her praise of former ESPN host Sage Steele, and was criticized for simply liking a photo of Steele and Donald Trump at a UFC event.
Jason (now retired) is the less controversial brother, having spoken positively about loving his father and making headlines for dropping his Super Bowl ring into a giant bowl of chili.
With average annual revenue from podcasts at $33.33 million, Amazon's payout to the brothers would be more than they've ever been paid for football.
Jason's maximum salary was $14.25 million for the 2022 season, after he was named a first-team All-NFL center. Travis recently signed a contract extension and will earn a career-high $17.25 million in 2025.
“We couldn't be more excited to team up with Wonderly on the next phase of 'New Heights,'” said Brother Kelsey. Variety“We love this show and we love the fanbase that has grown with us over the past two seasons,” they added.
The Kelsey deal is just one of Wondery's big recent moves as the platform looks to attract more big-name names to its catalog. Amazon recently snapped up actor Dax Shepard's “Armchair Expert” podcast, Deadline reported.
The Kelsey brothers have also ventured into broadcasting, with Travis hosting 20 episodes of “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” on Amazon Prime Video and Jason signing on as a commentator for ESPN's pre-game show “Monday Night Countdown.”
