No More Kelly Clarkson Show?
It appears that Kelly Clarkson might be wrapping up her daytime talk show soon.
Multiple sources indicate that the singer-turned-talk show host will likely exit the show by the end of this season.
One insider mentioned it was “certain” she would leave the daytime slot, while another suggested it probably “won’t last much longer.”
Sources also expressed concern about the sustainability of her show in today’s competitive daytime TV landscape, stating, “There’s so much to juggle.”
Last year, there were whispers that former “Today” anchor Hoda Kotb could step in for Clarkson after she briefly left NBC’s morning show. Rumors have circulated that Clarkson herself wants to step away, prompting discussions among NBC officials about potential replacements, including Kotb.
However, another source clarified that nothing has been finalized just yet. They noted that conversations around the show’s future are ongoing at the NBC headquarters, but emphasized, “Nothing has been decided. The season still has a long way to go.”
Previous reports had suggested that Clarkson might decide to part ways with the show when her contract ends this year. During this time, she was absent for a while to take care of her late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, who passed away from melanoma in August 2025.
Clarkson and Blackstock divorced in 2023 after nearly a decade together and share two children, River Rose, 11, and Remington “Remy” Alexander, 9. It seems she’s been focusing on raising her kids and helping them cope after their father’s passing.
Earlier this year, during a fan Q&A, Clarkson shared that her favorite time of the day is bedtime, when she can cuddle with her kids. “There’s been a lot going on in our family lately, so the kids have been sleeping with us quite a bit. It’s a full house with the kids and the dogs,” she explained.
But she added, “It’s special. The conversations we have during those moments are just adorable. So, it’s probably my favorite part of the day.”
Representatives for Clarkson and the show have not commented on the situation.
