Kelly Osbourne criticizes WWE star Becky Lynch for joke about Ozzy

Kelly Osbourne’s Response to WWE Star’s Insensitive Comments

Kelly Osbourne has always been close to her family, and her recent feelings show just how much that matters to her.

After WWE star Becky Lynch made what some consider insensitive jokes about her father, Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away on July 22nd, Kelly spoke out. This incident unfolded during a recent episode of “WWE’s Monday Night Raw,” where Lynch, 38, commented on Ozzy’s hometown of Birmingham.

During the show, Lynch said, “I’m not wrestling in Birmingham. The only good thing that came out of here is he passed away a month ago.” As the audience reacted, she added, “To be fair to Ozzy Osbourne, he had a good sense of moving to the right city of LA because if I lived in Birmingham, I would die too.” These remarks didn’t sit well with many.

Kelly took to her Instagram story the next day, labeling Lynch a “rude dirt bag” for her comments. She expressed, “Birmingham won’t be angry with you if you’re on fire,” and voiced her embarrassment regarding the way her father was mentioned.

This backlash also extended to Lynch herself, as several fans criticized her jokes online. One wrote, “Bro, Becky didn’t just say that,” while another remarked that Ozzy’s words were spoken in “pure hatred.” A third fan even mentioned that as a loyal Ozzy supporter, they wouldn’t view Lynch the same way again.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away at the age of 76 due to several health issues, including cardiac arrest and Parkinson’s disease. His memorial took place at his home near Buckinghamshire, attended by around 110 people, including family members and industry peers.

The day before this private ceremony, a heartfelt procession was held in Birmingham that saw his family, including his wife Sharon and children Jack and Kelly, coming together to honor him.

In the wake of her father’s death, Kelly shared a touching message on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the support she received during an incredibly tough time. She reflected, “Sadness is strange. It creeps up into your waves. I’m not okay for a while, but knowing that my family is not alone in our pain makes a difference.” She emphasized the importance of love and legacy during this moment of grief.
